Mas espere, há mais! Se você estiver com vontade de pegar ondas, basta se dirigir ao oceano. A praia aberta, com suas suaves dunas e ausência de pedras, oferece um ambiente seguro. Embora as ondulações sejam mais pronunciadas na primavera e no outono, tornando-a um ímã para surfistas intermediários e avançados ansiosos para pegar as ondas.

O local de Esposende está aninhado no delta do rio Cávado, e embora o vento norte não seja tão vigoroso quanto em Viana do Castelo, o vento sul é sua opção preferida, especialmente nos dias super ventosos em Cabedelo.

Chegar a este local em Esposende é uma aventura em si. Você pode optar por cruzar o estuário de barco (muitas escolas de kitesurf oferecem serviços de transferência de barco do cais para levá-lo à reserva natural), ou pode embarcar em uma caminhada de aproximadamente 2 quilômetros para alcançá-lo. Tudo faz parte da experiência de kitesurf, oferecendo uma variedade de condições e aventuras para desfrutar.

3. OBIDOS LAGOON

A Lagoa de Óbidos é lar da maior lagoa de água salgada em Portugal, e é um sonho tornado realidade para os praticantes de kitesurf. A lagoa possui águas rasas, geralmente até a altura da cintura, que são tipicamente planas, ocasionalmente oferecendo um pouco de agitação. O vento não é tão forte quanto em Viana do Castelo, mas quando está presente, que local incrível!

A uma hora e meia de Lisboa, você encontrará a bela lagoa de Óbidos, um dos melhores e mais famosos locais de kitesurf de Portugal. A lagoa pode ser dividida em duas áreas. A primeira área é o estuário da lagoa, a parte mais bonita, onde ela se encontra com o oceano. Este local tem dois lados, um deles é a praia Bom Sucesso, no sul (melhor lado, mais selvagem, praia ampla, melhor orientação, pequeno café agradável) e do outro lado está Foz de Arelho, no norte (grande área para campistas e restaurantes).

Além disso, é menos lotado em comparação com outros locais de surf mais próximos de Lisboa.

Embora as condições sejam excelentes durante o verão, você não será autorizado a velejar na parte arenosa da lagoa de frente para o oceano, mas sim terá que velejar mais para o interior da lagoa, onde o kitesurf é tolerado.

Mas tenha cuidado, há pequenos cactos crescendo ao redor da área de kitesurf!

Este local é mais adequado para iniciantes. Não recomendamos o foil na lagoa devido à vegetação subaquática que cresce sob a água.

Só pode praticar kitesurf perto do oceano de 15 de setembro a 1º de junho, portanto, no verão, você precisa se dirigir para a segunda área da lagoa, mais no interior.

4. PRAIA DO GINCHO

A Praia do Guincho em Cascais é conhecida por ter vento forte e confiável. Você pode contar com o vento, especialmente quando outros locais em Portugal podem não tê-lo.

O vento Nortada gradualmente ganha força ao longo do dia, atingindo frequentemente velocidades de até 40 nós nas tardes de verão. Sua proximidade com Lisboa, a apenas meia hora de distância de carro ou transporte público, a torna um local popular. No entanto, a praia é espaçosa, e a comunidade é respeitosa, garantindo que haja espaço suficiente para lançar seu kite com segurança.

A temporada de kitesurf em Guincho se estende de abril a outubro, com os meses de julho e agosto se destacando como os melhores. Guincho está exposto a ondulações do noroeste, então você pode esperar algumas ondas decentes (1-3 metros) nos dias maiores. A direção predominante do vento é lateral.

Em termos de clima, Guincho é ligeiramente mais fresco em comparação com outros locais em Portugal, com uma temperatura máxima do ar de cerca de 28°C. A água permanece um pouco fria o ano todo, variando de 11 a 19°C.

É um destino onde você pode desfrutar de ventos e ondas consistentes em meio a um clima ligeiramente mais fresco.

5. COSTA DE CAPARICA

Costa de Caparica é o ponto de kitesurf preferido de Lisboa. É uma praia de areia com quebra de ondas e as condições da água podem variar de agitada a ondulada. O vento aqui geralmente é mais leve, embora você possa ter a sorte de encontrar alguns dias mais ventosos, então sempre é uma boa ideia verificar a previsão antes de planejar sua sessão de kitesurf.

Durante a alta temporada, Costa da Caparica pode ficar bastante lotada. No entanto, em Fonte da Telha, uma praia de areia próxima, você encontrará ondas menores que são ideais tanto para iniciantes quanto para kitesurfistas mais avançados. Surpreendentemente, este local permanece relativamente vazio, tornando-o uma jóia escondida a uma curta distância de Lisboa.

O swell aqui é menor em comparação com Guincho, e como acontece com muitos locais de kitesurf em Portugal, os ventos tendem a se intensificar à tarde. É importante notar que você só deve praticar kitesurf aqui com ventos laterais e lado-onshore devido às falésias na área.

A temporada de kitesurf em Fonte da Telha se estende de abril a setembro, mas a prática do kitesurf é possível durante o ano todo. Na verdade, este é um dos poucos lugares em Portugal onde você pode praticar kitesurf durante os meses de inverno. No distrito de Setúbal, ao sul de Costa da Caparica, a Lagoa de Albufeira oferece uma mistura de água plana e kitesurf no oceano aberto. A lagoa é separada do oceano por um banco de areia e oferece água plana até o peito, tornando-a um excelente local para iniciantes. Aqueles que buscam ondas podem se aventurar mais no oceano.

O melhor momento para ir é tipicamente entre maio e setembro, quando o vento Nortada sopra do noroeste com uma velocidade média de 18-20 nós. É um destino versátil com opções para kitesurfistas de todos os níveis e preferências.

6. ALVOR LAGOON

O sul de Portugal apresenta uma variedade de locais para a prática de kitesurf, e um dos mais renomados é a Lagoa de Alvor. Este local oferece águas rasas e planas, tornando-o um excelente lugar para começar a aprender kitesurf. No entanto, é importante observar que a praia aqui pode ser bastante cheia de conchas, então é aconselhável usar sapatos de surfe.

O vento Nortada geralmente começa por volta das 15h e atinge cerca de 20 nós. Frequentemente, ele sopra para a costa/lado-costeiro dentro da lagoa, mas esse vento terrestre pode ser um pouco rajado. Situada entre Lagos e Alvor, no final da Praia de Meia Praia, a Lagoa de Alvor é considerada o principal local de kitesurf no sul de Portugal e um dos principais lugares para aprender kitesurf na Europa.

A lagoa geralmente oferece condições perfeitamente planas graças à presença de barras de areia, embora possa haver águas agitadas na foz do rio. Ela oferece boas condições com qualquer direção do vento e é especialmente favorável para iniciantes em torno da maré média. A maior parte da lagoa apresenta água até a altura da cintura.

O vento Nortada sopra para a costa/lado-costeiro dentro da lagoa, mas principalmente em dias ensolarados. As velocidades do vento tendem a aumentar à tarde, atingindo uma média de 20 nós.

A prática de kitesurf na Lagoa de Alvor é possível o ano todo, embora as melhores condições sejam tipicamente encontradas entre maio e outubro. O vento é mais forte entre junho e agosto, tornando este um destino principal para kitesurfistas em busca de ventos consistentes e confiáveis.
